"The sum on the Leyden Plate represents, therefore, 8 times 400 plus 14 times 20 plus 3 time 1, which equals 3,483 conventional 'years'; plus 20 plus 12 days; which number of 'years,' corrected, comes to 3,433 true years. But the basal, starting or zero date of the Mayan chronology was 3113 B.C.; so that the inscription on the Leyden Plate corresponds to our date of A.D. 320."
