I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
{Revelation K.J.V. 1-8} Lorie 1994:17
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
The sign of Pisces has governed planet earth since approximately AD 50, shortly after the crucifixion of Jesus, and around the same time as John was on Patmos composing Revelation.
According to Haida legend, these (the Queen Charlotte Islands) were created when the world was still covered by water. "Raven" created the islands by dropping stones for a resting place, or splashing water and transforming the resulting spray into rock.
The "four beasts" mentioned in Chpter Four of Revelation--the Calf (Ox), the Lion, the Eagle and the Man, relate to the four main zodiacal signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio (the eagle), and Aquarius (the human water-bearer). Revelation is not the only book in the Bible where the same four beasts are mentioned. In the Old Testament Book of Ezekiel, the prophet Ezekiel relates a vision in which scenes appeared to him including a Man, a Lion, an Ox and an Eagle.
The man symbol is accepted throughtout astrology as the Water-Bearer of Aquarius, the lion as Leo, the calf or ox obviously indicates the sign of Taurus, and the eagle signifies the higher values of Scorpio, though this is perhaps less well-known except amongst astrologers. The scorpion symbol is the lower psychic expression of the sign of Scorpio, while the eagle is the higher. ... These same four symbols appeared also in Egyptian and Babylonian traditions of wisdom, specifically at the entrance to the Great Pyramid of Giza. The archetypical Sphinx is composed of the head of a man, the body of a bull, the claws of a lion and the wings of an eagle.
